Day 1 – Kochi to Munnar
Your journey begins in Kochi, where you set off on a scenic 4-hour drive into the misty highlands of Munnar. As the road winds through lush valleys and rising hills, the landscape gradually transforms into vast carpets of tea gardens, mist-shrouded mountains, and sparkling streams. En route, pause at the Valara and Cheeyappara waterfalls, where the cool spray of cascading waters offers a refreshing break. By afternoon, you’ll reach Munnar, a hill station famed for its emerald plantations and cool climate. Check into your hillside resort, perched amidst verdant slopes. Spend the evening unwinding with a steaming cup of freshly brewed chai, gazing at rolling plantations bathed in golden twilight. Overnight stay in Munnar.

Day 2 – Exploring Munnar’s Splendor
Wake up to the crisp scent of mountain air and the sight of mist drifting over green valleys. After breakfast, begin with a visit to Eravikulam National Park, home to the endangered Nilgiri Tahr and sweeping grasslands. From there, head to the Tea Museum, where you’ll journey through the fascinating story of tea—from leaf plucking to brewing—and enjoy a fresh cup straight from the source. In the afternoon, visit Mattupetty Dam, surrounded by hills and tranquil waters, and stop by Echo Point, where nature’s acoustics invite you to call out into the wilderness. As the day draws to a close, wander through Munnar’s lively local markets, brimming with aromatic spices, handmade chocolates, and handicrafts that make for perfect souvenirs. Return to your resort for a cozy evening.

Day 3 – Munnar to Thekkady
After breakfast, check out and embark on a scenic drive to Thekkady, the spice capital of Kerala, where the lush Western Ghats cradle sprawling plantations. Upon arrival, check into your resort before heading to Periyar Lake for a unique boat safari. Glide across the still waters, keeping watch for elephants, bison, sambar deer, and colorful birdlife along the forested banks. Later, enjoy a guided spice plantation tour, where you’ll walk through aromatic fields of cardamom, pepper, cinnamon, and cloves, learning how these treasures are cultivated. As evening approaches, you may opt to attend a Kalaripayattu performance, a traditional martial art of Kerala that showcases agility and strength in a mesmerizing display. Overnight stay in Thekkady.

Day 4 – Thekkady to Kochi
Savor your final breakfast in the hills before beginning your return journey to Kochi. Along the way, stop at quaint roadside shops and local markets to pick up packets of spices, fragrant teas, and souvenirs. On reaching Kochi, you will be dropped off at the airport or railway station for your onward journey, carrying with you the aromatic memories of misty tea gardens, serene wildlife, and the timeless spice trails of Kerala.
