Day 1: Arrival in Shimla – Local Exploration
Your journey begins as you arrive in Shimla via private cab or Volvo bus from Chandigarh or Delhi, depending on your selected package. Upon arrival, you’ll receive a warm welcome drink and check into your hotel, giving you time to relax and refresh. In the afternoon, begin exploring Shimla’s most iconic spots. Stroll along the famous Mall Road, browse through its charming shops and cozy cafés, and take in the sweeping views from The Ridge. Visit the majestic Christ Church, a 19th-century neo-Gothic marvel, and soak in the atmosphere at Scandal Point, a historic social hub. As the sun sets, make your way to Lakkar Bazaar, known for its wooden handicrafts and local souvenirs. Return to the hotel for a delicious dinner and a restful overnight stay.

Day 2: Kufri Excursion – Adventure & Nature
After a hearty breakfast at the hotel, set out for an exciting day trip to Kufri, a scenic hill station located about 16 to 18 kilometers from Shimla. This area is known for its adventure parks and snow activities in winter. Visit Kufri Fun World, where you can try go-karting, explore a small zoo, and enjoy stunning Himalayan views. Next, explore the Himalayan Nature Park, home to native wildlife and serene forest paths. For those seeking a little extra adventure, pony or yak rides to Mahasu Peak, the highest point in Kufri, are available (optional). On your return to Shimla, stop by the sacred Jakhoo Temple, dedicated to Lord Hanuman. Perched on Jakhoo Hill, this temple features a towering 108-foot Hanuman statue and offers panoramic views of the city. You can reach it either by trekking or via ropeway (tickets extra). In the evening, unwind at one of the cafés along Mall Road before returning to your hotel for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 3: Shimla Heritage Tour or Optional Chail Excursion
Today offers flexibility depending on your interests. You can either enjoy a heritage tour within Shimla or opt for a day excursion to Chail, located approximately 45 kilometers away.
If you choose to stay in Shimla, begin your day with a visit to the historic Viceregal Lodge (now the Indian Institute of Advanced Study), a magnificent colonial-era building set amidst manicured gardens. Then head to the Himachal State Museum to explore the region’s cultural and historical artifacts. Don’t miss the Gaiety Theatre, a 19th-century Victorian performance venue that once hosted famous artists of the British Raj. The afternoon is yours to relax, go shopping, or enjoy a leisurely coffee in one of Shimla’s charming cafés.
Alternatively, those opting for the Chail excursion will experience a quieter and more rustic side of Himachal. Visit the regal Chail Palace, surrounded by thick pine forests, followed by a trip to Kali Ka Tibba, a peaceful hilltop temple offering stunning views. Complete the tour with a stop at the world’s highest cricket ground, situated at 2,444 meters above sea level. Please note, this Chail trip is optional and may come at an additional cost if not included in your chosen package. After a day of exploration, return to Shimla for dinner and your final night’s stay.

Day 4: Departure
Enjoy a relaxing breakfast at your hotel before checking out. Your driver will assist with your departure transfer to Chandigarh or Delhi, depending on your onward travel plans. As your tour concludes, you’ll leave Shimla with beautiful memories of cool mountain breezes, scenic walks, cozy cafés, and unforgettable views—truly a dream come true in the hills.
