You will be received at Srinagar airport by our representative of HOLIDAY TRAVEL ZONE. He will assist and transfer you to hotel. Dinner and Overnight in Hotel. Note :- Also visit handicraft shop, where you can buy Hand Crafted Items like Shawls, Jackets, Bed Covers, Paper Mache, Carpets, etc. In the evening, stroll along the famous Dal Lake. Moter vehicles deptt. J&K, JK traffic police, started shuttle services for tourists/visitors from botanical garden to Chashmashahi, Pari mahal, Shankaracharya temple (By order - J&K Govt & UT) - Road safety is everyone's responsibility. ( For vehicle charges – INR.100 per person place).
After having our breakfast we will leave for the majestic mountain resort of Sonamarg. The route to Sonamarg takes us on a beautiful countryside drive. We will cross the rolling hills, green forests, clear water streams, and rice fields in the valley. We will speed up our vehicle passing through the town of Kangan. Kangan caters to the needs of the people in this region. We will now leave for the place called Mammar. The place is known for the trout farm. We will take a cup of tea here before we leave for Sonamarg. We will again get down at the tourist spot called Gagangir. The spot is in the middle of the river Sindh and looks like an island. The spot is surrounded by the snow glaciers. In Sonamarg, we will take a 3-hour walk or horse ride to the Thajwass glacier. After that we will visit the town and buy some snacks or just visit the place and observe the people going with their daily routine. We will now leave for Srinagar in the evening and reach the hotel.
After breakfast, we will proceed towards Gulmarg – “Meadow of Flowers” 2730 mts. above sea level. The total distance of 53 kms will be covered in 1 hour. Gulmarg is famous for having one of the best skiing facilities in the world. It also boasts of having the highest golf course with 18 holes. If weather permits, you could even get a glimpse of Nanga Parbat, also known as the naked mountain, which is above 26,000 feets. This mountain dominates the entire region. You could even enjoy a mountain ride on the cable car known as Gondola up to khilangmarg. Overnight stay in hotel at Gulmarg.
Morning after breakfast, proceed to Pahalgam (the valley of shepherds). The total distance is approximately 130 kms, and it will take us around 3 hours to cover this stretch. En route, you will be visiting the famous saffron fields of Pampore, Awantipura Ruins (1100 years old temple of Lord Vishnu built by the King Awantivarman), and will be driving through the picturesque pine forests. Upon reaching Pahalgam, check-in to your hotel. In Pahalgam, you can visit Betaab Valley, Chandanwari, and take a horse ride to Baisaran meadows. The rest of the day is for your own, and you can take a bridle walk and feed your cameras with the picture of the magnificent view of mountains. One can also visit Aru and Chandanwari. It does not take any time to identify this place for a movie freak, as this place has already been a part of a number of movie scenes. Overnight stay in Hotel.
Start the day with a scenic road transfer to Srinagar from Pahalgam. Upon arrival at Srinagar, proceed to go on a sightseeing tour of the renowned Mughal gardens, which include the Shalimar Bagh, Nishat Bagh, Mughal Gardens, and the famous Tulip Garden, which is the biggest tulip garden in Asia. This sightseeing tour also includes the beautiful Botanical Gardens, Pari Mahal, and the famous Chashme Shahi, also called the Royal Spring. This Mughal garden was developed in the year 1632 by the governor of Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan, named Ali Mardan. This beautiful garden is located at the foot of the Zabarwan hills, overlooking the famous Dal Lake, and is also close to the Raj Bhawan, which is the Governor’s residence. All the above-mentioned Mughal gardens are beautifully located on the banks of the famous Dal Lake, with the majestic Zabarwan hills creating a wonderful background. This sightseeing tour also includes the famous Shankaracharya Temple, which is located at the top of the hill, offering wonderful views of the Srinagar Valley. The evening is at leisure to enjoy a beautiful 50-minute shikara ride in the serene Dal Lake. This beautiful boat ride will enable the tourists to enjoy the beautiful floating vegetable gardens and get a glimpse of the unique aquatic life. The evening concludes with dinner and an overnight stay at the houseboat.
Heading Home with Cherished Memories After breakfast, visit Shankaracharya Temple, Lal Chowk, and spend time shopping at the markets.
