You will be received by our representative of HOLIDAY TRAVEL ZONE upon arrival in Jammu and then transferred to Pahalgam (The valley of shepherds). The total distance is about 240 kms and would be covered in about 7 hours approx. Along the way, you would visit the saffron fields of pampore, Awantipura Ruins (1100 years old temple of Lord Vishnu built by the King Awantivarman), and enjoy the scenic beauty of the surrounding area. Drive through the pine forests. Arrive Pahalgam and transfer to the hotel. In Pahalgam, you can visit the Betaab Valley and Chandanwari and also enjoy horse riding to the Baisaran meadows. Overnight in the hotel. In the evening, enjoy the bridle walks and feed your cameras with the picture of the view of the majestic mountains.

After an early breakfast, proceed with a road transfer from Pahalgam to Srinagar. Upon arrival, begin a sightseeing tour covering the world-famous Mughal Gardens including Shalimar Bagh, Nishat Bagh, Tulip Garden – known as Asia’s largest Tulip Garden, Botanical Garden, Pari Mahal, and Cheshma Shahi, also referred to as the Royal Spring. Cheshma Shahi is a beautiful Mughal garden constructed around a natural spring by Ali Mardan Khan, a governor under Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan, in 1632. The garden is situated in the Zabarwan Range near Raj Bhawan (Governor’s House), offering scenic views of Dal Lake in Srinagar, Kashmir. All these gardens are located along the banks of Dal Lake with the stunning Zabarwan Hills forming a picturesque backdrop. Later, transfer to Srinagar city where you can explore local markets for shopping. In the evening, enjoy a romantic 50-minute Shikara ride on the serene waters of Dal Lake. You will also visit the sacred Shankaracharya Temple. Dinner and overnight stay at a Srinagar Houseboat. Note: During the tour, you will visit a handicraft showroom where you can purchase authentic local handmade items such as shawls, jackets, bed covers, papier-mâché products, carpets, and other traditional crafts. In the evening, enjoy a relaxed walk along Dal Lake while exploring nearby local markets. The Motor Vehicles Department J&K and J&K Traffic Police have introduced shuttle services for tourists and visitors from Botanical Garden to Chashma Shahi, Pari Mahal, and Shankaracharya Temple (as per orders of the J&K Government & UT administration). Road safety is everyone’s responsibility. (Shuttle vehicle charges: INR 100 per person per location.)

After having our breakfast, we will move towards the beautiful mountain resort of Sonamarg. While going towards Sonamarg, we will enjoy the beautiful drive through the countryside. We will move through the rolling hills, beautiful forests, water streams, and the paddy fields. We will zoom past the town of Kangan, which takes care of the entire need of this region. We will move towards the famous trout farm of Mammar and take a stopover for a cup of tea before moving ahead towards Sonamarg. We will again stop our vehicles at the tourist spot Gagangir. The spot is situated in the middle of the river Sindh, which looks like an island. The entire area is covered with snow glaciers at one or the other place. We will take a 3-hour walk or horse ride to the famous Thajwass Glacier (By Own Cost). After returning, we will move towards the town for some snacks (By Own Cost) or just pay a visit and see the local people going with their routine work. In the evening, we will return back to Srinagar and move towards the hotel.

After taking the breakfast, we will leave for Gulmarg, also known as the “Meadow of Flowers” 2730 mts. Above the sea level. The drive will be for around 1 hour, covering 53 kms. Gulmarg has one of the best ski slopes in the world, along with the highest Golf course with 18 holes. One can also get the glimpse of the Nanga Parbat, also known as the Naked Mountain, rising over 26,000 feets, dominating the entire region, along with the cable car (Gondola) for the mountain ride up to Khilangmarg. Return back to the Hotel in Srinagar, enjoy comfortable dinner, and stay.
